Since Walt Disney World complex offers its own hotels, many people are doubtful whether they should stay at one of these hotels or at one outside the complex. Here we will provide you with all the information you need to make a good decision. Besides, we will offer you other possibilities for accommodations different from hotels —be them in Disney World or not.

Hotels: Orlando has a great variety of accommodations. The range of possibilities is very wide and allows you to choose from a very economic hotel to deluxe hotels. But the most important thing is that hotels in Orlando have a great service level regardless the room price. That is to say that you will have a wonderful stay whether you spend lots of money or not. Florida is a hot state and therefore most hotels have swimming pools so that guests can refresh before or after visiting Disney’s parks.

Most people who choose to stay at a hotel in the complex do it because they want to save time in transport to the parks. Nonetheless, all the hotels offer facilities for their guests so that they can quickly and comfortably arrive at the Walt Disney World complex. There are many van services which will pick you up in your hotel and take you to the desired park, and then they will bring you back to the hotel. These companies offer the transport service you and your family need in order to get to Disney’s parks and comfortably return from them. In order to give you an idea, the hotel average price is $50 to $250 per night. However, there are hotels with more economic prices and other with higher ones. Due to the great competence among accommodations services, prices are constantly varying; therefore, you should ask for the price of the hotel when making the reservation. The reservations issue is very important: do not try to get to Orlando and look for a hotel. This will not only be a waste of time and a great inconvenience for the family but also you run the risk of not finding a room or having to accept a hotel you will not be comfortable with.

Bearing in mind the reason why people choose a hotel among the various ways of accommodations, we find out that the hotel has:

Condominiums: This is a very usual option to lodge in Orlando and especially for those who visit Disney World. They are furnished houses or flats which are rented on a daily basis. Condoms offer you the opportunity to stay at a place as if at home. This is a very considerate way to save money since you will not have to pay for restaurants or services that you will have to do yourself. That is to say, you pay for a certain amount to become the owner of a property for a given number of days per year. You have the possibility of going to Orlando every year for a certain number of days without paying a rent. But there are more interesting options as regards time-sharing. In this case, you buy a time-sharing which offers you 15 annual days but not only in one place. In other words, you have 15 annual days that change the tourist destination. Therefore, you have 15 days in Orlando one year, 15 days in Paris another year, 15 days in London the next one and so on until it starts again. Obviously, the purchase of a time-sharing is not for a year or two, it is for life, as well as if you buy a house. However, there are contracts which estipulate a given number of years after which the original owner has his property back. This option is quite similar to the condo as regards accommodations, though it is very different as regards money, since it is not a rent of a house but a purchase.

Walt Disney World Hotels: That is how we called the hotels that are within the Walt Disney World complex. The advantage of these hotels is that you will have all the comforts of a hotel plus the transports facilities —«transport» is a very «big word» since you will not have to travel that much to get to the park. Among other things, staying at a hotel within the complex has other advantages such as discounts on Disney World’s parks, and also you will be able to enter the parks an hour before the general public. However, the advantage in time is seen during night time since, by entering an hour before, almost no attraction is opened; but as you can leave an hour later, you have more time inside the park and the possibility of going to the attractions when people start to leave. But you must consider making the reservations in advance if you want to stay at one of these hotels since there is a great demand and there is no room. Therefore, if you are planning on staying at hotels within the Walt Disney World complex, make the reservations as soon as possible.

Retired people: As there are many elder people visiting Disney World alone or in order to take their grandchildren on vacation, and plus the fact that Florida has a special care for the elderly, discounts on Disney’s parks are also included. That is to say that if you are a retired person or pensioner you will have the possibility of finding accommodations at a lower price or with some kind of special discount. Of course, we cannot guarantee all these for all the possible hotels and, therefore, we recommend that you do a little research about which places offer these benefits.
